Today, 13th August 2024, around 2:15 pm BST, I got a call on my landline from the number 01189627522, which I didn’t recognise. They left a message on my answering machine about suspicious purchases on my credit card - something about £300 on Amazon and another £1100 through an “international money transfer website.” The message urged me to press a button to cancel these charges or talk to someone. Pretty obvious scam talk, nothing but rubbish.
