Absolutely a fraud. They claimed to be from Sky insurance and kept saying I owe £11.99 monthly and need to renew. I don’t even have any Sky services, so I was suspicious from the start. A bloke rang up saying I’d got breakdown cover for my telly, which I definitely don’t. So this guy, said his name was James and sounded Asian, rang me bright and early at 8.15 am telling me our Sky protect deal was about to end. He said our two year contract was running out. Now, the thing is, we got Sky direct, and it’s not up for renewal right now. Plus, we’re actually getting a new box soon, and we did get some letters from Sky protect about security stuff. The account’s under my wife’s name but I ended up speaking with him. Definitely a dodgy scammer trying to pull a fast one!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Sky Protect, saying they could lower my payments. I told them I wasn’t with that insurance. Then they passed me onto the finance team who claimed I did have insurance with them. I just ended the call there. We do have insurance, but it’s definitely not with Sky Protect.
