I got a call about a PPI claim they said I made, but I’ve never done that. The person couldn’t say my name properly, so I just ended the call. Later on, my wife mentioned she did actually put in a claim, so maybe it was real after all. Still, I thought they’d speak better English if it was legit.

Somebody rang me saying they were from BT, then handed me over to a senior tech bloke who just repeated what the first one said. They told me my internet was throwing up error messages and said if I turned on my computer, they could fix it for me. The English was really poor and tough to follow.

Got a recorded message from a woman saying my Amazon Prime had been renewed for £39.99 and if I want to talk to an Amazon rep, I should press 1. Thing is, I don’t even have Amazon Prime and they don’t have this landline number on record. Bet they’ll ring from another number next time, so blocking this one is probably pointless.
