I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise but didn’t pick up.

So it was supposedly BT Openreach calling me. I ended up chatting to the guy for like half an hour, just so he couldn’t bug anyone else. By the end, he got pretty annoyed and asked why I was wasting his time. Karma’s a funny thing, innit?

Got a call around half ten in the morning, total scam alert. These scammers have been around forever, claiming your internet is slow. Then they offer to fix it, get you to tweak settings on your computer, and just like that, they take over. Next thing you know, your files are locked and they're demanding bitcoin to unlock them. Don't fall for it, it's ransomware. Paying won’t help, they’ll just hold your info hostage, like your bank or ebay passwords. Could ruin you financially. Proper nasty lot, absolute muppets.

Got a call saying they were Virgin Media needing to sort out my internet. I told them straight up they weren’t with Virgin and that I was gonna report the call.

I got a call claiming to be BT Openreach, but it seemed fishy - definitely a scam trying to get info. Be careful if you get a ring from them!

My home phone number is being used by scammers from India pretending to call from it - I promise I haven’t made any calls using this number. The tech should really change so folks can’t pretend they’re calling from someone else. Sadly, even if you block this number, it won’t help much because they simply switch to another one! I’ve flagged it as risky since the ones using it are definitely not trustworthy.

Honestly, just ignore the calls and avoid leaving any messages. I've had to block them because I got so tired of them constantly ringing. It’s not worth the hassle!

I got a call from a lady saying she was with BT Openreach, saying my internet was running slow. I told her it wasn’t, and then she just hung up on me!
