Got a call from someone claiming to be ‘Mark’ from Mastercard, saying there was odd activity on my card. I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call on my landline from someone saying they were from Mastercard. They refused to confirm my full card number, just mentioned it began with a 5. Apparently, there were two charges of about £1000 total and they wanted to block my card right away. I kept asking for a callback number, and finally, they gave me a contact for the Bank of England - 02076014444. When I rang it, it definitely seemed dodgy and like a scam. They called me back again, but this time using 01612833057, and the guy said his name was David Martin. I told him straight up he was a fraud and ended the call.

Totally sounded like a scam, something about Visa and Mastercard. Didnt bother to talk anymore!
