I got a call from someone with a strange accent claiming to be from EE mobile services. I acted like I couldn’t hear a thing and kept repeating ‘hello’ a couple of times. They eventually lost their temper, swore loudly, and just ended the call. Hardly the behaviour of a professional company that records calls. I’m certain it wasn’t actually EE since I’ve never even contacted them.
