Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft with a strong Asian accent, saying my computer had an issue. Since I own a few, I asked them which device they meant. They just ended the call straight away. Another annoying scam attempt!

At ten in the morning, we had a ring from this number. Honestly, we don’t have any acquaintances in Reading and had no calls on the horizon. That’s why we tend to ignore any calls unless they’re from folks we recognise. We're absolutely sick to death of these pesky scammers! It’s the same story online too. They masquerade as different individuals before leading you to a dodgy link, which you really ought to avoid! It’s uncanny how some of them even manage to know your name!

Nobody said a word before the call just dropped. Judging by what others mentioned, sounds like the typical over-the-top panic stuff.

Somebody rang me out the blue, saying my computer was hacked. I told them that was a bit odd since I don’t actually own a computer. They seemed surprised and asked if I really didn’t have one. Then I asked for the Microsoft number they were calling from, mentioned I work in IT, and they just hung up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from 'BT' about my internet not working right. I asked where she was located and she gave me some address in London. I didn’t buy it and mentioned my husband works as a BT engineer. She then said that he was in agreement with her! Before hanging up she warned me they'd keep calling. What a load of rubbish!

It took him forever to pick up after we phoned, and then he said his name was Rodger, supposedly calling from the Microsoft Tech Support. Just another person wasting our time!
