I recently found myself entangled with a company that claimed to offer a complimentary carpet cleaning. However, it quickly became apparent that their ulterior motive was to parade a vacuum system in front of me, as they attempted to persuade me into a purchase. It reached the point where their manager was physically present in my home, quite insistent on convincing me to fork over a hefty sum for a payment plan. According to them, it was an incredible offer at just £1650 for their vacuum! To add to my frustration, I've been inundated with calls week after week after a mate unwittingly suggested my number as a possible lead. Despite having informed them that I already have a vacuum (which, to be fair, is a complete fib), they remain relentless in their pursuit, bombarding me with repeated calls!
