For the last year, I've gotten calls from this company nearly every day, like 10 times at least. They keep switching UK mobile and landline numbers so you don’t even realise it’s them ringing. Proper annoying pests!

This morning I rang my wife's mobile, only to find it was an unintelligible voice on the other end. I decided to try on the landline, but alas, it was the same scenario. A man eventually chimed in, saying his "associate had mistakenly called a wrong number." Given the context, I suspect it was some sort of marketing call.

This number rang my wife's phone but she couldn’t really figure out what they wanted as they were talking rubbish. I tried ringing them back from our house phone and it was just as confusing. The voices spoke English, but the clearest thing they said was something like "I believe my mate dialled the incorrect number, sir.”
