I've had a rather similar ordeal to many folks. Received four calls in just thirty minutes, all with quite thick accents wanting to verify certain information. One of them claimed they were checking up on my Amazon Prime account details.

As a result, I'm steering clear of these callers moving forward!

His tone was rather needy, almost pleading, which left me rather bewildered and uneasy. He went on to verify my name and then asked whether I could confirm my address, which struck me as rather unsettling. I pressed for his identity and the name of his company, and he mentioned he was affiliated with some place called “UK Choice”, which rang no bells for me. When I didn’t respond, he continued to press on, reiterating his desire to keep it brief. Feeling quite unnerved, I decided it was best to end the conversation and hang up.

Honestly, there's no point trying to respond because you can’t make out what they’re saying, and I reckon they do it on purpose. When I asked where they were from, they claimed it was United UK. These calls are totally unsolicited, which isn’t allowed here in the UK unless you’ve actually agreed to be contacted. I definitely never gave them the go-ahead. I told them to stop ringing me a few times, but they just ignored it and kept calling, which I believe is against the law. I’ve had to block the number now.
