I got a call from this number but as soon as I picked up, they just ended the call right away.

I received a rather unexpected call today concerning a car accident I had three years back; talk about a blast from the past! The young lady on the line appeared to understand my request to wipe my information from their records, but I’m not exactly optimistic it’ll happen. Interestingly, I noticed that although the firm claims to be located in Liverpool, they were phoning me from a number registered in Reading. Quite the curious combination, wouldn’t you say?

Got a call on my mobile from someone claiming to be with AMS Nationwide. He mentioned my name, said I'd been in an accident, and even knew my car's registration. Then he gave me a CRN number, 31468. Sounds a bit dodgy to me, is this some kind of scam? The call came from what sounded like a call centre.

Received a call purporting to be from AMS Nationwide regarding my accident. The chap provided me with a reference number - CRN 31468 - and requested my insurance information. I told him I’d ring back and he supplied a number for the company: 07940400539. To be honest, I haven't returned the call yet, as I'm a bit wary about whether it's legitimate or not.

So today, Thursday 22nd October 2015, I got a call and when I picked up, they just ended the call straight away. I tried ringing the number back and was met with a message saying "an advisor will be with you shortly," followed by endless hold music. Feels like it's probably some kind of scam to me.
