Got a call from a woman claiming to be from Talk Talk, but she seemed confused about her own name. I asked her what exactly she wanted to discuss about Talk Talk, and before I could get an answer, she hung up on me. Number was 01183944755. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a call from some overseas bloke claiming my computer was full of problems and needed fixing, sounded totally sketchy to me.

This number rang me up claiming there’s some kind of technical issue on my end. They tried to convince me to open a file with them and guided me through some steps, but I wasn’t having any of it. Even when I said no, they kept pushing and I had to just hang up. They spoke with a really thick foreign accent too.

09 March 2017: An Asian lady purporting to represent Talk Talk called me, but I decided to end the call.

Some bloke called saying he was Mike from TalkTalk tech support, trying to get me to mess about with my router. Bit of a cheeky one. I told him to jog on and hung up straight away (heard TalkTalk put out a heads up about these sorts of scammers).

I reckon this is dodgy because the moment I asked who they were and for some details, they just ended the call. Give it a go yourself, ask for their name or any other info, and you’ll see they’ll drop the line quick smart.
