Got a call at 12:52pm today from a number I didn’t know. Checked the reviews here first and decided to block it straight away!

Didn’t pick up but no voicemail or anything. Seeing what others said, I’m just gonna block the number.

The person on the line had this really rushed, unclear way of speaking and started talking right over me when I said I wasn’t going to answer any questions. Still, when I told her not to call back, at least she said “have a nice day” before hanging up, even though I was certain it was a scam.

Got a call from this number yesterday evening around 6.40pm, they were talking about my electricty or gas provider or something like that. I told them they can't do anything for me, but hanging up was a struggle. Then today morning, about half past seven, I noticed my phone was stuck on an open line with them, though nothing was showing on screen until another call came through and my line was busy. I was only able to answer it using the conference option. Had to restart my phone just to disconnect the call.

I don’t recognise this number at all and they hung up as soon as I picked up. After reading some of the comments here, I’ve decided it’s best to avoid answering them altogether.

When I asked who was on the line, the person replied something about ‘renewal’ but I couldn’t catch it properly because they had a strong foreign accent. Then they asked if I owned a house. I don’t deal with any companies or people in Reading, so it seemed really odd.
