3 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be Robert Sinclair with the Government Grant Centre in Peterborough, but weirdly the number was from Reading? He said he was only contacting folks who’ve had the Feed In Tariff for 8+ years to offer a free infra-red survey to spot where heat might be escaping from their houses. Then he mentioned that everyone on two nearby streets was getting the survey invitation next week, and only one person per street would actually get it. Funny thing is, he said someone on my street hadn’t got solar panels yet but was considering it - which seems odd if the survey is supposed to be for people with FIT for over 8 years! The callback number he gave me was 03333 441430, linked to The Renewable Heat Partnership Ltd in East Yorkshire. I just wish folks would stick to the truth. At least now I can report them to the TPS and ICO for spamming me with lies!Robert SinclairGovernment Grant CentrePeterboroughReadingThe Renewable Heat Partnership LtdEast YorkshireTPSICO3 yearsFirst he said he wasn’t trying to sell anything, sounded like a decent bloke. But then he started pushing hard - loft insulation, batteries for my solar panels, and even a heat pump. Couldn’t shake him off, so I just hung up the phone.3 yearsI let the call go to voicemail without picking up. Later, I got a message claiming I’d missed an O2 call about a free alert and to ring 901 and press 5 twice. I chuckled and told him to put me on his do-not-call list, and then he had the nerve to call me rude! The previous ones just hung up as soon as my answer machine kicked in. I picked this one up thinking the number looked familiar. A woman, sounded older, asked if I owned the house and said it was something to do with energy for the home. I ended it straight away and blocked the number using BT’s service.3 yearsGot a call from someone claiming they were with Ofgem, trying to push solar panel batteries and heat pumps.
