Got a ring from this number earlier, some bloke saying he was from Chancellors Estate Agents asking if I’m still in the market to buy a house. Honestly, it threw me a bit and I started worrying someone might’ve nicked my identity. The guy sounded proper English and quite polite though.

Got an email saying I could get a loan or credit card if I ring 01183282739 to apply. Definitely looks like a scam, so watch out!

I received a rather dubious call from this number claiming they could provide me with a loan. They even dispatched a ‘cashplus’ card to me, prompting me to ring the number printed on the card to activate it. However, to my astonishment, they stated they had no record of my information.
Then, this morning, I was given another call. When I pressed the gentleman about the card, he insisted he could activate it and load funds onto it. I’m trusting my instincts on this one and choosing to block their number. If it sounds too fantastic to be genuine, it often is.

I received a rather alarming call allegedly from HMRC, claiming they were looking into me for tax evasion. The person on the line introduced himself as Harry Wilson from HMRC, and he seemed to know my full name and address all too well. Unfortunately for him, I don’t even pay tax!

Without a doubt, these are scammers. I got an email not long ago from someone pretending to work for a financial firm. They urged me to ring 0118 328 2739 to supposedly apply for a credit card. Turns out, the same number has been used by folks pretending to be from HMRC. It’s quite clear their aim is to steal personal info and bank details. If you see this number pop up, my tip is to just ignore it and don’t pick up.

Got a robo call saying HMRC is looking into me for tax fraud and I need to ring them straight away. Just hung up, don’t bother returning the call. Sounds dodgy and risky.

I got a call from this number today, and the message was exactly the same. Actually, last week I got called from a different number, 01316180793, and it was a similar scam, but that one wasn’t an automated message.

Got a call and when I picked up there was a recorded voice claiming to be HM Customs. Didn’t trust it so just ended the call straight away. Definitely seems like a scam.

Gotta hand it to Harry Wilson, he clearly did his homework, even managed to give me the right address for HMRC. Trouble is, that was the only thing about it that was true. What a terrible scam, preying on folks who might actually fall for it. Properly shocking stuff.

Got a call from a number telling me I’d just had an accident or something, then they just cut me off straight away!

Picked up the call and the line just went dead. Bit irritating and no clue who was ringing.

I picked up the phone but stayed silent, and they didn’t say a word back. Instead, I heard a robotic voice say "goodbye." Honestly, it felt like I was being bothered by some sort of harassment.
