Caution, everyone! I just had a dodgy phone call where the caller claimed to be from Microsoft. Trust me, it’s a scam! Please, don’t share any personal information with them. Stay alert!

Like the others said, try asking if the call's about Windows 12. They usually hang up pretty quick 'cause they just don't get it! Weird, innit?

On the 17th of October, I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said she was from Microsoft. She told me my computer was involved in fraud and had loads of errors. She said she wanted to help fix it, and asked me to press Windows key + R, then type [#]help93[###] and click on supremo. This supposedly showed a code to give remote access to my PC. I didn’t trust it and ended the call straight away. They called back about 5 minutes later trying again. No thanks! The number they called from was 08004089340.

They're targeting older folks, trying to get them to buy a computer and then trick them into downloading stuff so they can get into their system remotely. Quite the nasty scam.

Someone rang me off claiming to be from Microsoft support, trying to persuade my partner to install some software. I gotta say, the person who called was really convincing. This site helped me figure it out though, cheers!

I got a call from some bloke called James, who said he was from Microsoft and based in Reading. He really scared me, saying my computer was riddled with huge problems and showed me a “report” claiming I had 20,000 errors caused by hackers. When I said no to downloading some ‘supremo’ software he wanted me to install, he threatened to block my computer right away, even claimed he knew my Microsoft licence number! Bit of a worry, that one.

Today I got a call from a guy named Alex, saying he’s from Microsoft. He told me my computer was hacked and someone was using its id for fraud. Then another guy called Kevin told me to visit help93[###] and asked me to click on something called supremo. I didn’t trust it and refused. Just a heads up, don’t let strangers take control of your PC!

Got a scam call from someone pretending to be Microsoft. I reckon Microsoft’s trying to clamp down on these people by taking legal action against them. Best thing to do is grab their number and report it straight to Microsoft through their site.

Someone rang me saying they were from Microsoft, but my phone showed the number as private. When I pressed him about it, he eventually gave me a different number. Honestly, if you get a call like this, I’d just suggest putting the phone down straight away.
