Received a call from someone called Georgia, wielding an Indian accent, who insisted she was representing Microsoft. When I inquired about her authenticity, she assured me she was indeed from the company. I then requested her Microsoft accreditation number, which she promptly provided. Upon probing for the purpose of the call, she suggested that my Microsoft device had been involved in some sort of illicit activity. When I pressed her for specifics about which computer she meant, she stated it was my personal computer. At that moment, I clarified that I didn’t possess a personal computer and concluded that she had dialled the wrong number, promptly ending the conversation.

I've had this number reach out to me a few times already. Just this morning, I received a call from a rather pushy gentleman with an Asian accent. He kept insisting that I power up my computer to rectify some supposed errors and to prevent further hacking attempts. When I explained that I couldn't log on at that moment, he became quite hostile and pressed for an explanation. I requested his contact number, and he claimed to be affiliated with Microsoft in Reading. It’s really quite unsettling-surely there must be measures in place to put an end to this sort of nuisance?

I’ve just had a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft. They went on about my computer being compromised and warned that unless I granted them access, I'd be at risk of losing all my precious photos and important files. Naturally, I challenged their claims, as I'm quite savvy with computers myself. It's clearly another one of those dodgy scams going around!

Got a call from some bloke claiming his name was Mark Anderson, telling me I was infected and that my details were being used by criminals. He even had my full address and name, saying some code he gave was my 'security ID'. He kept pushing, but after a bit I clocked it was a scam - I'm in IT, so I hung up. I've reported the whole thing to Microsoft straight away. The number he said to ring back was 01183282385.

Yesterday, I received a rather dubious phone call from an Asian gentleman purporting to be from Microsoft. He alleged that my laptop had been compromised and that my Wi-Fi was disabled. He insisted I power up my device and start pressing a series of keys. After enduring this for about thirty minutes, I grew increasingly frustrated and decided to terminate the call. I opted to connect via an Ethernet cable instead to regain access. Try as I might, I can't seem to reactivate the Wi-Fi. To add to my annoyance, they’ve attempted to ring me six times today!

Got a call from a guy saying he was with Microsoft, told me my PC was compromised. Weird thing is, he already had my full name and where I live. Definitely fishy.

I received a rather alarming phone call from someone claiming they had evidence of my computer being compromised, and that my private information was being utilised for nefarious purposes. When I pressed them for more details, their attitude turned quite hostile and discourteous. I merely inquired about their name and contact number-apparently, they were 'Alan Walker' from Microsoft, which seemed a bit dodgy to me. After that, I decided to end the conversation. Now, I'm bracing myself for whatever they might throw my way next.

I encountered a similar situation earlier today; the caller's number appeared, yet it was flagged as an international one as well.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to represent Microsoft, who attempted to persuade me to input a command into my laptop's DOS system, alleging that my device was being used inappropriately. Interestingly, the caller was using the number 01858458677 but provided it as a genuine Microsoft contact. Clearly, it’s not; it’s just a scam!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting I input a command into my laptop’s DOS interface because they alleged my system was being used for nefarious purposes. The call came from 01858458677, but they rather conveniently provided this number as the official contact for Microsoft, which is clearly not the case - it’s a total scam!
