The caller mentioned that I had enrolled in a scheme for additional income, which I assured them was not true. They then got quite confrontational, leading me to abruptly end the call.

I had a rather peculiar phone call the other day. The woman on the line seemed to be in quite a hurry, probing about my age - clearly trying to establish if I fit into the 50 to 80 bracket. She brought up the subject of loft insulation, claiming that wool and wired wool products are now past their prime and that I might qualify for complimentary insulation with whatever alternative she was suggesting. When I inquired whether she was affiliated with the council, she replied in the negative, stating she worked for an outfit called "Option UK". To be honest, I’d never heard of them, and that seemed to surprise her. Without a moment's pause, she promptly hung up. It felt a bit dodgy, to be honest, almost as if she was fishing for information about elderly or vulnerable individuals. The caller was a certain "Michelle".
