Clearly a dodgy con! A woman with a rather robotic voice said she was from "Bank Security" and started babbling about "suspicious" transactions, mentioning two charges—one from Amazon and another that was "overseas." She then urged me to press different buttons to either chat with someone or to "cancel" these payments, which added up to thousands of pounds. I didn’t hesitate to hang up.

I received a call from this number claiming to be my bank, inquiring about a suspicious transaction exceeding £1300. It’s clearly a scam, so steer clear and definitely do not hit reply!
