The call was intercepted and blocked without a second thought. Shortly after, I received a text purporting to be from C. A. R. S. It urged me to ring them back in haste. In response, I shot back a text saying, “Do one!”

It showed up as a "Reading" number, but the bloke said he was calling from Manchester. He claimed I owed cash from some loan before 2009. I told him if that's true, my privacy’s been compromised, but he insisted I’d signed up for their marketing. I asked him to take me off their list and stop ringing me, but he just kept talking over me. I gave him a bit of colourful feedback about how to spend his day, compared him to a part of the anatomy, and ended the call. Blocked him straight away.

Got a call from this number. Picked up and waited a few seconds 'cause the number was unfamiliar. Just was about to end the call when some bloke asked for me using a name I only use on dodgy forms or random sign-ups, so I knew it was rubbish. Told him no one here goes by that name.
