I’ve been getting calls nearly every day from some accident insurance firm claiming I’m owed a big payout, all over a tiny scratch from a really minor fender-bender. It’s honestly become quite upsetting. I’m in my 80s and disabled, so answering the phone isn’t easy for me and rushing to get there sometimes makes me nearly trip over. This constant nagging is really stressing me out.

So today I got a call from someone saying they were following up on an accident claim. This has happened to me loads of times this week, cant even keep count now, at least ten calls like this. To give her credit though, when I told her I’d not been in any accident, she quickly said sorry and hung up.

Picked up the phone and as soon as I said hello, the person just dropped the call!

I was looking up the number on here as it was ringing, so I just ignored it and have blocked it since then :) Seems like there's loads more of these annoying spam calls going around lately - must be really desperate scammers trying their luck.
