I picked up the phone, only for the spammer to promptly disconnect without uttering a word. There was nothing but silence for a stretch, and then the call just fizzled out completely.

At first, he offered to assist with any debts I might owe, but once I told him I didn’t have any, he switched and began asking about my living arrangements. When I asked why that was important, he mentioned that they also handle issues with housing conditions. I told him I live in a brand new building and then ended the call. Seriously, it’s smarter not to answer if this number pops up.

This bloke said he was calling from “public benefits,” but whenever I asked what that even meant, he just couldn’t give a straight answer. Then, as soon as I told him I wasn’t going to share my address, he abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious if you ask me.
