I got a call from a woman who said her name was Sophie and claimed to be calling from Three. She told me my Three SIM card was about to be blocked due to a major network upgrade and that I’d get a new SIM in the post free of charge the next day. She then asked for my email address. I said if she was really from Three, surely she’d already have that information. But she just kept going anyway. Then I noticed the call sounded like a recorded message and the number showing up on my phone looked dodgy. That’s when I figured out it was definitely a scam.

Got calls about 3 or 4 times but never any voicemail. The area code points to Reading but the note mentions the operator is Twilio Ireland Ltd? Bit confusing really.

Phone said it was probably some sort of spam. They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail or anything.
