RE: CALL FROM 01182 308296 Got a call from this number on 10 April 2024 around 4.39 pm. After checking your site, I found out it’s a nasty scam coming from Ireland, but they use VoIP to hide where they really are. Don’t fall for it!

Proper dodgy scammers messing about. What really puzzles me is why Twilio Ireland Limited is still allowed to operate, surely some authority or the cops could put a stop to this by now. Loads of the dodgy calls people talk about here seem to come from VoIP lines linked to Twilio Ireland Limited.

Some woman called and started rattling off something about loft insulation, but I couldn’t catch her name at all. She spoke so quickly I couldn’t get a word in, despite me trying to tell her to hold on and listen. Eventually, she asked what loft insulation company we used. I told her cold calling is against the law, though I think she’d already hung up by that point.

ANNOYING REPEAT SCAMMERS - after a weird pause of a few seconds, a woman who said her name was "Jo" jumped right into a pitch about insulation for houses. The croaky voice sounded exactly like a call I got months back. I asked the company she worked for, and she dodged the question, saying she worked for multiple firms. When I pushed with "Who exactly do you work for?", she just hung up on me.

Watch out for these kinds of calls - block and report immediately!
