Got a call from a number in Reading but i don't know anyone from there. When I picked up, some guy with a foreign accent was asking for me. They had my first name right but totally messed up my last name. I told him he had the wrong person and then I ended the call.

Got a dodgy call on my landline, definitely a scam.

On 24th October, someone rang me looking for a certain person. I told them they had the wrong number, and then the caller got annoyed, saying I was trying to trick him. The person on the phone sounded like they had a strong Indian accent.

They called me up and claimed I was drowning in debt, which was totally wrong because they even knew my name!

Was a bloke with a foreign accent, said nothing then just ended the call. Blocked him right away.

Got a call from 0118 230 6069 but the line went dead as soon as I picked up. When I tried to ring them back, it just said I'd dialled a wrong number. Quite odd!

I got a call earlier claiming to be from council quality assurance, I asked which council and they said Bournemouth. Thing is, Bournemouth isn’t its own council by itself - it should be BCP council if they were legit. Plus, why would they be ringing me from Reading? Definitely sounded fishy to me.

I just let it ring since I’ve no mates or family in Reading. If it mattered, surely they’d have left a message, but nothing came through so I’ll just block the number.

Had a call claiming to be from council tax, sounded shady to me. Best to just hang up and block the number right away!
