I received a call from someone who identified themselves as part of the housing maintenance team for council tenants. To be honest, I found it quite annoying since I don't actually rent from the council.

I got a call from a woman pretending to be from a maintenance company, acting like I'd reached out to them. She started listing issues like mould and damp that I supposedly had. I told her I didn’t have any of those problems and that she probably got the wrong number. This was the second time lately I’ve had a call from a Reading number, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam.

Somebody rang me, saying they were checking on maintenance troubles for council and housing tenants, which I'm familiar with. As soon as I began asking a few questions, they just hung up. Blocked straight away.
