After quite a pause, a woman with a British accent came on and started telling me she’s a "Local Energy advisor" and that she was "informing homeowners that fibreglass and rockwool insulation is no longer effective"... I asked her two questions but she just brushed them off, so I ended the call. It’s basically a sales pitch pretending to be a public service. Plus, the 0118 number isn’t even near my area, and the whole aim seems to be to arrange a "survey" of your insulation, which they’ll claim is "inadequate" and then try to push you into buying risky spray foam insulation.

Here’s how you can report all types of silent calls, scam texts, emails and other fraud attempts easily through the police set-up called the NFIB system. I found out about this when I raised the amount of scam calls I received with my MP. Scammers definitely don’t want this info getting around. If you don’t report these scams, there’s little chance anything will be done to stop them. Sending reports only to 7726, your network provider, Ofcom, or companies the scammers pretend to be won’t really help, as the info often won’t reach the police or the fraud investigation teams.

Just to clarify my thoughts-I'm fairly convinced this is a dodgy operation, especially since I've seen others report similar calls from various digits.
