Fraud alert!! Make sure you report every scam call you get. If you google 7726 and read all the info there, you’ll see how and why to report these things. Also, watch the two terrestrial TV docu series about scams - it’s shocking! Apparently, scammers swindled over £1 billion from us last year, and it’s shockingly simple for them. Just search ‘phone scams’ on iPlayer or My5 and have a proper watch. It’s a must-see for anyone with a phone and bank account, or if you’ve got relatives who might be at risk.

They actually called me by my name, which freaked me out since I’m on the TPS and meant to be Ex-Directory. They claimed to be from ‘UK Today’. I just ended the call and blocked the number.

Got a call today from an Indian guy named Steve, said he was from the UK. Decided to have a bit of fun. Asked if I read any newspapers, told him no, which wasn’t true. Then he wanted to know my age group, so I said I was in my 40s. He asked if it was early or late 40s, so I said early. He then goes, "I doubt it" 😂. Called him a cheeky bugger and ended the call.

I received a call from someone who seemed keen to ask me a handful of questions. It was rather unsettling, as he addressed me by my full legal name, which is odd since I’m typically known by my nickname.

The questions were quite peculiar-things like whether I read the paper and if I own a pet. It gave me the impression that this was some sort of fishing expedition for information, possibly to fuel a future scam or telemarketing ploy.

The chap introduced himself as Sean, but honestly, the vibe he gave off didn’t quite match that name at all!
