They called me about a "free energy check" but had no clue where I lived. When I told them I wasn't interested, the line just went dead. I've seen loads of similar complaints on other sites calling it an insulation scam.

I got a call about some “energy assessment” thing. The lady said she found my number from my EPC, but when I told her that info isn’t on the EPC, she just cut me off. Then, over the next couple of days, she called again from different numbers. Strange behaviour, really.

Got a call on 17/02/23 at 11:28 from a woman claiming her company did insulation work and was supposedly 'near me'. When I asked her exactly where she was, she got a bit moody. So I just told her to find a real job and ended the call.

Over the past couple days, I've had loads of calls from this number and a few others starting with 0118. My phone's settings have been blocking them all because they seem like scam calls.

Got a call from someone saying fibreglass and rockwool insulation doesn’t do the job well. When I asked who they were and if they were allowed to call me since I’m on the TPS, they just couldn’t answer. Seems dodgy to me, maybe one of those scams trying to trick people into paying for stuff that doesn’t work. I’m definitely reporting them to the ICO as well.

However, upon inquiring who was on the line, it dawned on me that it was merely a pre-recorded message, as she parroted back the exact same spiel in the same monotonous tone. I decided to end the call there and then.

Got a call from a guy saying he was with Citizens Advice. Told him to stop ringing me, but he wouldn’t listen. Started swearing and even threatened to show up at my place. Reported the number to the police straight away. Best just ignore if they call you.
