6 monthsMy landline has rung a few times from this number, but I always just let it ring out to voicemail. They never even bother leaving a message.6 monthsGot a call from what turned out to be a scammer, didn’t bother responding.6 monthsHas phone several times. Each time introduced himself as "David from Windows and Doors". Has been told twice to 'eff off'. on 6/01/26 at just after 9 a.m. he phoned again. I asked if he had heard of "The Telephone Preference Scheme.". His reply was "Never mind about that, how are you today?" I repeated the question and his reply was that they are "doing a promotion." ANY Cold Caller who ignores 'The Telephone Preference Scheme' is very clearly (1) A Fraudulent Scammer, and (2) Stupid - If people have elected to NOT have cold calls, why annoy them by phoning? If you are NOT registered on the 'Telephone Preference Scheme', look it up and register you phone number(s). After that, any Cold Call you receive is a Fraudulent Scam! I responded to this scammer with some verbal abuse and he promptly disconnected the call. The answer to 'Cold Calling' is simple - NEVER, EVER respond to ANY offers. If EVERYBODY, yes EVERYBODY ignored Cold Calling, it would become no longer viable and would cease! Unfortunately there will always be a few dumb and gullible idiots who encourage Cold Calling, just in case they might get a bargain!!!!.DavidANYColdEVER6 monthsI keep getting calls from different numbers starting with 01182, and each time it’s someone saying “Good morning, this is David from Windows and Doors,” which is odd because none of these codes are local to me. I don’t answer properly, instead I put the phone near something noisy to drown out any talking until they hang up. Then I block the number. Seems pretty dodgy since they keep switching the incoming number all the time. Definitely feels like a scam to me.David6 monthsSomebody phoned us acting like we’d asked about windows and doors, but honestly, we never did!7 monthsI always just ignore calls from numbers I don't recognise, especially since the TPS doesn’t seem to stop these scammers at all.TPS7 monthsNo idea why they keep calling every day, we’re ex-directory and never should get hassled like this. It’s really frustrating. They’ve been ringing all week with no voicemail left. Seems like a scam to me. Is there any way to block this number or take legal action?7 monthsThis number has been driving me mad! It’s rung my mum, who’s quite elderly, like six times in just the last week alone. The latest call came through first thing this morning! She’s on the TPS and her number isn’t listed anywhere. These calls are such a pain, obviously they’re searching for someone easy to scam. Proper annoying! 🤬🤬🤬TPS7 monthsI didn’t pick up at all since my network marked it as an annoying call, so I just blocked the number.7 monthsGot two calls last week but they just hung up right after my answer machine picked up. Really annoying since I'm signed up to the telephone preference service and shouldn't be getting these calls.7 monthsGot calls from this number loads of times, just some pre-recorded message about energy, total scam. I ended up reporting it to the ICO - I'd say everyone should do the same, it really helps block the number for good and can lead to hefty fines for these scammers.ICO7 monthsGot a call again today, 25th Dec, from 01182295307. It was the same number that called me before, I didn’t pick up and no voicemail was left. Then, on the 18th Dec at 8:52, the same number rang me twice the day before. When I finally got through, the caller hung up as soon as my answerphone started. Pretty obvious these are annoying spam calls.7 monthsGot another call today, same number as two days ago. Pretty sure it’s just some sort of scam or marketing job.7 monthsI've managed to block a few numbers so far like 5306, 5307, and 5309. Luckily, they hang up before I even grab the phone. If I do pick up in time, poor them if they're wearing a headset - it won’t last long, I tell you! Might just yank it off and give their ears a good ringing! How on earth do people in Reading know what’s in my loft? Honestly, feels like a proper con. Just so you know, we’ve been on the TPS list nearly since it started, and honestly, it’s done nothing to stop rubbish like this. Total waste of time, if you ask me.ReadingTPS7 monthsI answered the phone and just said hi, then the person quickly said goodbye and hung up. These annoying calls drive me mad. I've blocked the number now, but I’m sure they’ll ring back from another one like they always do. Such a pain!7 monthsGot a call out of the blue on my home phone from some guy saying he was my local energy consultant, James. He started asking "how are you?" and I replied 'not too great,' just to be polite. Turns out it was one of those annoying scam calls!James7 monthsI got a call back from my old home phone number and it was this bloke saying “James, your local energy expert” or summat like that. The voice was really polite and proper, sounded like a recording though. Odd thing is, I’ve definitely heard this same voice before but with some other name. Felt fishy, no one answering at all.7 monthsSomeone rang up saying they were from BRS. When I asked what that stood for, they told me Building Regulations Support.
