I picked up and after a bit there was some annoying hold music, then nothing but static. Seems like they’re just blasting calls out to loads of people and hoping someone falls for a scam.

There was loads of static on the line and a man called me by my name. He kept talking about some investment from 2022 that supposedly lost all my cash. Absolute rubbish - I never made any such investment. I’ve blocked the number now. How come BT hasn’t shut this number off yet?

### THESE SCAMMERS JUST CAN'T PRONOUNCE MY NAME PROPERLY, I WOULD AVOID GIVING THEM ANY DETAILS AND JUST HIT BLOCK ASAP!

These scam calls are really becoming a right pain, don’t they? It’s about time the law stepped in properly and cracked down on these fraudsters. The government needs to get serious, and phone companies should be fined heavily to make them get their act together. Only then will this nonsense stop.
8 months
Havent got round to checking the number yet, but I never pick up calls from unknown numbers anyway.

Beware of scams claiming to help recover lost old crypto accounts. They just want your info. BT really should shut these things down! Stay safe, folks!

Got a call from them about 30 minutes ago. I told the bloke he’d dialed the wrong number, and he just snapped back with “ok, go f*** yourself and your number”. Classic scammer stuff, probably one of those call centre guys. I threw a “go f*** yourself” back at him before he hung up. Lovely. 👍🏻

Got a call about some crypto thing, said I put in €250 and now it’s grown to €1000, then asked if I wanted to cash out. Asked for my bank details and all that. I refused, said no way I’m giving you that info. The guy just swore at me and ended the call. Proper scammer.

Got a call from a bloke claiming he wanted to chat about some AI crypto trading I supposedly signed up for. Thing is, I’ve never signed up for any of that stuff, so it was clearly a con. I told him to shove off and ended the call, but he rang back twice right away! Took me a bit, but I finally blocked the number. Just don’t get how these scammers even know my name, never mind my phone number!

I dunno if this is some kinda con or what??? I put in £200 last year with this company called BIW, thought they were trading stocks for me. Now BIW’s gone under, but these firms keep ringing non-stop saying my £209 has turned into 13 grand or something. Very fishy if you ask me!

Complete con, this one. He began rambling on about verifying some trading account. I told him I'm on the TPS list and asked him to take my info off, but he just pressed on and even called me Mr Neal, which isn’t my name at all! I told him to sort out his notes and get his facts right before he keeps reading from his script, then I ended the call.

These crypto scam calls can be really annoying, they mumble and barely make sense on the phone. If you pick up, be ready for them to ring back over and over, using a different number each time, sometimes for ages like 30 minutes or so.

This is an international scam group and a real danger to everyone. They need to be locked up and kept behind bars for good. These nasty criminals are like bloodsucking monsters and should be stopped immediately, no mercy at all.

I got a call from 07482 371071 too, from some firm banging on about crypto. The woman claimed she was ringing from Manchester and said she’d share their number if I just heard her out. But this is defo a Reading number. Told her I wasn’t botherd.

I got tricked into some bitcoin scam, they claimed it was from the government like 300 years ago or something. Kevin told me he’d get the money back, said I’d have it within half an hour. I waited but nothing came through. Then I tried to get the cash back from the bank but they just said it was my fault since I made the transfer. Lesson learned, I won’t fall for it again. Still, these people keep ringin me non stop!

This bloke calling himself Samuel Kerr, claiming to be from some crypto trading firm that’s been closed down, was chatting me up about loads of crypto I supposedly had. He even dropped the name FINMA and some Leila Graham to sound legit. Said I needed to convert the crypto and gave me an email for a bank that does the conversions... yeah right. Then they bugged me for an upfront fee of 1381 euros. No way. Seriously, watch out folks... don’t let greed blind ya, they’re just after your cash. If you never had it, you can’t lose it!

Got a call from 0118 229 5273, and it's definitely a dodgy one. The number is linked to CR-Digital Defences, which is some crypto scam outfit working either in London or abroad. Some of the voices on the line sound South African, so they might be operating from outside the UK or somewhere else in Europe. They even have a website (cr-digitaldefence.com), but it’s a complete fake! If you get a call from this lot, just hang up right away!!
