I received a rather dubious phone call from a woman with a noticeable foreign accent, claiming to represent Curry's PC World. Her English was quite choppy, and the call had the distinct vibe of a call centre. She was pushing a deal for an iPhone 14 Pro Max, boasting unlimited data, calls, and texts for just £39.99 a month. I must say, it felt a bit too fantastic to be genuine, and alas, it turned out to be a complete scam.

Got a call on my mobile earlier from a guy claiming to be from Currys. His English was really hard to understand, and he kept pitching deals like one for £40 a month and another for £43. After every offer, he'd ask "OK?" like he was checking if I agreed. I told him I wasn’t buying anything and that he was just rattling off nonsense. Then he just dropped the call. I reckon it’s a scam, especially with all the noise like a busy call centre in the back. Added the number to my block list straight away.
