Received a call the other day about slashing my monthly rate with Three Mobile. The woman on the line inquired about my current payment, which struck me as rather odd-surely, if she were genuinely with Three, that information would already be on her screen? Sounds like a dodgy scheme to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Three Mobile, saying they could help me cut down my monthly bills. When I asked him how much I currently pay, I told him that if he's really from Three, he should already have that info. He then said he was with the promotions team and didn’t have access to those details. So I wondered, how can he say he can save me money if he doesn’t even know my current charges?
