So, I got a direct debit notification from Nat Friend current, which I wasn’t expecting. I called my bank because I had told them to inform me before any new debits go through. They gave me a number to find out who was trying to set it up. When I called it, there was some automated message asking me to enter a name or extension number to continue, but since I didn’t have that info, I couldn’t get past it. I ended up phoning the bank again to cancel the whole thing. Still feels a bit dodgy to me. Just a heads up, watch out for stuff like this.

Got a direct debit set up from Nat Friend current, which I didn’t expect. I’d told my bank to always check with me before adding any new debits, so I called them about it. They gave me this number to find out who was behind it. When I rang, the call menu asked me to press one and enter a name or internal number to speak to someone, but I had no idea what to put. Ended up calling the bank again and asked them to cancel the whole thing. Still feels a bit dodgy, so watch out, folks.
