I rang the number and spoke to a guy who seemed pretty fed up with all the calls he's been getting. I mentioned I'd heard it might be some kind of online scam. Told him to avoid picking up, as it's just a pointless hassle. I even confirmed that it’s actually his number. Odd situation, to say the least.

Got a call from someone claiming to be my internet supplier, telling me my IP address was at risk. They warned my internet would get disconnected unless I pressed 1 to speak to an engineer. I let it ring out and it went to voicemail, with no answer when I tried calling back. Totally feels like a scam to me.
