Got a call from this number not long ago, it was a guy with a really strong Indian accent and the connection was terrible. He claimed to be from BT and said someone was trying to hack into my internet from outside, warning that it was against the law and they had to check it out. He asked me to check my computer screen’s bottom right corner. I ended the call straight away and decided to look up the number online - so glad I found this site, saved me from a potential scam!

Had some weird calls from people with Indian accents pretending to be from B.T. Definitely a scam. Just ended the call straight away and whatever you do, don’t log into your PC if they ask!

Got a call from a bloke claiming there was an issue with my broadband. When I said I wasn’t convinced and asked to ring back, he just ended the call. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

They’re purporting to be from BT, but I've not had an account with them in over 25 years!
Initially blocked their last number, but they’ve switched to this new one. Since I’m usually at home, I find it amusing to keep them on the line for a bit, then just leave the phone off the hook until they eventually hang up. Quite the laugh, really!

Got a call from an Indian lady who started chatting about internet security. She didn’t push much and ended the call quite quickly. When I tried ringing her back, the number wouldn’t let me get through at all.

Got a call round 8:15 but they hung up before I could answer. Then they rang back at 9:15 and only said a couple of words with an Indian accent before I blocked them. I bet they’ll switch to another bogus number by tomorrow.

I got a call from someone saying they were from BT Openreach, telling me there was a security issue with my router and they needed to get into my computer to sort it out. Turns out it was a scam from someone in India. I pretended to go along with it for a bit, but when they realised I wasn’t playing ball, they started being rude.

They claimed to be BT Openreach, but I told them straight, "This is a scam, leave me alone." Then I went ahead and reported it on BT’s website at bt[###]/home/help/scams.

This bloke kept ringing me up, saying there was something wrong with my BT router. He kept asking me to get on my computer and enter some IP address. After speaking to like three different people, I told them I’m actually with Virgin, so how could that be true? When I asked where they even got my number, they just swore at me and called me an idiot. I couldn’t help but laugh, then they just hung up on me.
