Got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, saying there’d been a security breach. When I mentioned I use Linux, they suddenly changed the story and started talking about issues with my mobile instead. Definitely felt dodgy to me. This was just last month, July 2024.

I got a call saying my card was charged £131 for train tickets with British Rail, and if I didn’t make the purchase, they wanted me to get in touch. Problem is, they didn’t leave a phone number, so I had to use 1471 to find the number myself.
