Heads up, got calls from that number and a bunch more saying they were from BT support. I messsed with them a bit for fun, but when it got boring I asked them who my actual service provider was. Nearly all the calls just cut off straight away, except one bloke who started listing every provider under the sun. I couldn't stop laughing and then ended the call. Total scam, so watch out!

Like the others said, this guy with an Asian accent called, saying he was from British Telecom technical support or something along those lines. He tried to sound interested, asking "how are you today". I snapped back saying I was fine until he disturbed me, then he just hung up on me.

Received a call this morning around 9:40. I was up on the first floor and took a bit to get to the phone. As soon as I answered, they ended the call without a word. The voice on the other end, which sounded rather Asian, claimed there were security problems with my computer. I immediately recognised it as a scam and let him know, to which he promptly disconnected. I've been inundated with similar calls from various numbers lately.

Got two random calls today. I missed this one from that number, but earlier someone else called saying he was from BT - some bloke with an Asian accent who called himself Steve (yeah, right). I guess it's their second try or something. Just like what the last person said, as soon as I told him I’m not a BT customer, Steve just ended the call. What a load of scam artists!

This number, with a Bristol area code, gave me a ring earlier today. As soon as my answer phone kicked in, they decided to hang up. I’ve looked up the number on this site since I know a few folks in Bristol. Cheers for the useful info! I definitely won't be returning the call.

Answered the phone but they ended the call straight away. Tried ringing them back and no idea who it was, number didn’t look familiar at all.

Today, I got a call from a lady with an Asian accent who claimed to be from BT. She told me that someone was messing with my internet and said they could block the IP addresses straight from their system. She insisted it was a free fix because I’m supposedly a BT customer. The moment I told her I don’t have BT, she just ended the call. Really sketchy stuff - watch out out there. When I tried to call the number back, it just wouldn’t go through.

I had a pair of phone calls earlier today which we chose to ignore, and it seems that as soon as the answering machine kicked in, they promptly disconnected. Quite peculiar, really!

Never trust those folks - a man and a woman from Asia saying they're calling from BT. They’ll try to convince you to install some software, which lets them get into your computer from anywhere. Honestly, it’s really risky, so just don’t fall for it!

Don't disclose any information regarding your computer to anyone calling from this number. There’s a man and a woman that are presenting themselves as representatives from BT. They'll try to persuade you to install certain software that can compromise your computer's security. Should this happen, promptly uninstall the software and change all of your passwords straight away. Stay vigilant!

I had this chap from India on the line, trying to guide me through fixing my computer. I told him to pause for a moment while I showed him my dog whistle. I then cheekily accused him of causing a ruckus with my computer since it was blaring those high-pitched whistles. After about ten minutes of back and forth, he finally admitted defeat. Curious as to what drove him to that, though!

I received a rather alarming phone call from this number earlier today, claiming to be from BT. The caller started rambling on about some suspicious IP addresses associated with my computer. They were quite insistent that I grant them access to my device, but I was immediately suspicious. I asked for proof of their BT affiliation, and after a rather convoluted explanation, they provided a lengthy security number, suggesting I could verify it myself online. However, I wasn't taking any chances. I told them I would ring BT directly to confirm their identity. I’ve since found out it’s definitely a scam, so I would advise everyone to steer clear and never hand over any access to your computer.
