We werent home when they rang, bet it was those dodgy lot again!!!

This afternoon the phone rang and my husband answered. He told them he wasn't into computers at all and told them to ring back around 3pm when I would be here. Since I got back, they've phoned about 5 times but I ignored them all, as I was tied up, and each time it went to voicemail but they never left any message. So, I rang 1471 to check and it confirmed the calls were from this number (0117 937 4113). If they ring again, I'm definitely going to pick up and give them a piece of my mind!

So, these lot called me saying there was a problem with my computer. I mucked about with them for a good ten minutes, just pranking along. They started getting a bit fed up once I pretended I had no clue what a keyboard was! It was quite a laugh watching them try to explain it.

I received a call from this number bright and early at 7:45 am on Monday, the 7th of January, 2019. It hung up just before I could answer. I tried using 1471 to trace it, but it turned out that "this number does not accept incoming calls." Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!

I got a call from someone claiming to be Alex at Microsoft saying my PC was hacked. I was on the line with him for ages, like 10 minutes or so. Honestly, I feel a bit silly about falling for it.

Just like some of the others here, I tend to mess about with these callers. I keep them chatting for a bit, then I drop the bomb that I used to work as an engineer in a big telecoms company - that’s when they usually go dead quiet. Honestly, these scammers are the worst, preying on trusting older folks. It’s really low.
