Over the last day, I've received a couple of calls from 01179348112 and the number above, both saying they're from TalkTalk and that there's something wrong with my router. These are definitely scam attempts, so just be cautious if local numbers pop up saying they're from TalkTalk.

Received a rather crackly phone call earlier, where an individual with an Indian accent claimed that my internet connection was being shared with others. They stated they were representatives from TalkTalk. They even suggested they could demonstrate some errors on my computer. I quickly realised they were up to no good, branded them scammers, and promptly hung up. I've now blocked their number.

I assumed it was someone nearby ringing me so I picked up. Turned out to be Talktalk, or rather some dodgy scam from abroad. The caller spoke for a bit but when I asked them to say it again, they just hung up. It’s really frustrating because I usually check the number first and just ignore it if I spot it’s from overseas. Now it feels like they’re spoofing local numbers to catch people out. I honestly can’t figure out what they’re trying to do.
