Got a call claiming to be from BT Openreach, but it was totally a scam. They tried to trick me into giving personal info. Watch out, it’s definitely not legit!

So, this person said they were with BT and said there was a tech issue. They asked if they could get into my router to fix it. Felt really fishy to me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT Openreach, trying to push broadband services. Strange thing is, my number’s on the TPS list and it’s not even a BT line, so I’m not sure how they got it. Felt like a scam to me, so I blocked the number and reported it to the data protection folks.
