I received a call earlier today, and the caller ID displayed an American number: 001-630-859-9404, which looks to be from Chicago, Illinois. However, the person on the other end claimed to be representing the "Energy Care Centre" located in Bristol. They attempted to persuade me that installing solar panels could slash my gas costs by 40% and even provide me with a tax-exempt income. Interestingly, this number has been linked to so-called "Windows issues" scams in the past. Quite the dodgy business, if you ask me!
