They rang up saying it was about our O2 account and mentioned they had cheaper plans available.

Got a call saying I owed £3800 in unpaid tax from HMRC. They told me to pay right away on the phone and warned me I'd be arrested if I didn't. The names Karen Willer and Denis Gray came up, so be cautious if you hear those. They claimed it was fraud and threatened jail time. I reported the scam to the police, HMRC and my bank. Remember, genuine HMRC staff will never threaten you or ask for money over the phone!

They called me up trying to convince me to switch my phone plan over to a business account. Bit pushy about it, seemed like a sales pitch to get me to upgrade. Definitely not what I was expecting from a random number.
