Got a call just now, took a while to get through, then some bloke with an Asian accent asked straight up for me and my address about “your SSE energy contract”. When I asked what it was about, he just hung up! The number started with the Bristol area code.

Has anyone got a hint about who might’ve rung me? They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail which is a bit odd. What sort of UK company calls and then just hangs up without saying anything? Feels like it could be some kind of automated system just fishing for active numbers.
