They rang me twice, missed the first call though. Sounds like it’s from Bristol. Weirdly, only my landline got the calls. I sorted it by having my granddaughter blow her whistle into the phone - that really put them off. Apparently from a call centre working for a charity, but it’s pretty creepy how they’ve got your info, including your birth date and all. Just to be clear, I’ve never done any surveys with them. Now I’m just letting it go straight to voicemail with my granddaughter’s whistle playing in the background.

However, when I pressed about whether they share information with other charities, they admitted they do. It seems this is just another charity ringing up for a donation. As a result, I’ve decided to cancel my direct debit with Battersea since I don’t think it’s right for a charitable organisation to act in this manner towards its supporters. I've since opted to redirect my charitable contributions to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, who have provided me with written confirmation that my details won’t be circulated.
