I got a call from a woman with a strong southern accent who kept saying my loft insulation was wrong, claiming it came from a recent survey. Thing is, I never had any kind of loft inspection done! When I asked her what company she was with, she wouldn’t say and, when I asked how they got my number, she just hung up on me. Really pushy and quite odd behaviour.

I received a rather dodgy phone call that seemed quite genuine, as the woman on the other end had a warm and approachable tone. Don’t be fooled; it’s a ruse! She was fishing for my personal details. The way the recording was designed made it seem like she was actually responding to me, which was rather sneaky. I’d strongly recommend cutting the call short and marking that number as blocked.

I've had a similar experience, quite like others here. Got a call from what seemed to be a Bristol number, but I doubt its legit. A woman claiming to be an energy advisor was going on about insulating the loft with fibreglass or something. Felt like a total scam to me, so I just ended the call right away. They call themselves Energy Hub or something like that - definitely not to trust. Sounds like they're pretending to offer government help but it’s really just a bunch of scammers targeting people. Best thing is to block them and report the number.

I usually just let it ring and don’t answer straight away. Most of the time it just stops ringing by itself. I looked up the number and saw some reviews, so now I just ignore calls from it. If you can, blocking the number might be a good idea. If it’s really important, they’ll probably leave a voicemail anyway. Your call really.

Pretty sure this was a scam. Got a call saying £900 had been charged to my Visa for something on Amazon. They told me to get in touch if it wasn’t right. Definitely seemed dodgy to me.
