Oh wow, totally a scam call! They tried to pull a fast one on me, no thanks. Definitely watch out for this number!

On 22nd May at about 11pm, I got a call and just said hello to see who was on the line, but they quickly hung up. I tried ringing back around 10 minutes later and got a recorded message from a credit investigation team saying they were too busy with a lot of calls. I’ve since blocked that number and others like it from recently. They like to say they’ve got your credit file with stuff about unsecured debts and suggest an individual voluntary arrangement (IVA or IVR) might be involved, claiming to be FCA regulated and government supported. Watch out for these scams!

Got a call coming through from SA! As soon as I blocked it, an insurance scammer rang me, using a number from the Lannelli area code. Super annoying!

I was a bit let down since nobody answered when I picked up, just pure silence. Oh well, I reckon they’ll ring again soon but probably from another number - then it’ll get interesting :)

Someone rang me saying they were from some credit checking department. I asked what the call was about, and they said something about an unsecured debt I supposedly had. When I asked where they got that info, they said it was from the debt advice service. I vaguely remember getting in touch with those guys months ago to get some tips, so it looks like they’ve passed on my details, which is just shocking! I told the caller I wasn’t interested and asked them to never call again. Blocked the number and reported it straight away.
