Sounds like the typical scammers trying to pull off one of those card reader funding tricks again.

Couldn’t even get a chance to speak, the bloke just kept going on about card machines and payments. I told him I wasn’t bothered and then just blocked his number.

They keep ringing me up about card machines and I've told them loads of times we're not interested, but they just won't stop!

I've been getting a bunch of irritating calls mostly around lunchtime, and today’s was one of them. The person on the line spoke with an Indian accent and didn’t even bother using my name. When I pressed him on why he was ringing, he vaguely mentioned something about a card reader. I figured he was trying to spin some tale about a dodgy transaction on a faulty device, hoping I’d cough up my card details again. Didn’t hang around for more and just ended the call.

Got a call from a number based in Bristol while I’m here in the west of Scotland. I didn’t pick up straight away and decided to check it here first. Seems dodgy, probably a scammer, especially since I’ve seen similar numbers mentioned down below in the comments.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from TakePayments, but when I rang them up myself, it turns out that number isn’t even theirs. Pretty sure it was a dodgy scam attempt.
