Got two calls from this number earlier today, just let the answerphone pick up like I usually do. Not a single message left behind, which you'd expect from a real caller. Then I noticed another unknown number rang at the same times, so this one’s clearly been spoofed. Bit worrying to hear they might be trying to capture our voices to hack into bank accounts.

We didn’t pick up since the number didn’t look familiar. Both mine and my wife’s phones rang almost together, which makes me think they’ve somehow got hold of the contacts from one of the few people who have both our digits. Honestly, they should really get this number blocked or shut down.

Just like some others mentioned, it was a recorded American lady on the phone. My elderly mum answered it and was quite upset by the call. Luckily I was around and convinced her to hang up straight away. When I looked up the number online, I found loads of similar reviews here! It’s awful how they mess with older, vulnerable folks like that - really not on!

Avoid giving out any info to them, and don’t believe whatever identity they claim. I got a call from 07 4565766, it was an automated lady voice with an American accent. sounded just like the one I got monday from 0808 178 8748. They kept mentioning some account subscription and told me to call back on this same number to cancel. Since 0808 178 8748 has so many complaints, I reckon this new number is just another trick the same scammers are using.

Just like others have said, a robot voice on the line, then asking for £290. We recently put our trust in BT’s nuisance call blocker and it’s been quiet for like two months now, but somehow these calls are still sneaking through. Quite frustrating really.
