Lately, I've gotten into the habit of not picking up calls from numbers I don't recognise, and luckily I stuck to that when I got a call from this one. Big thanks to everyone who shared their experiences with this number. Because of what you shared, I've gone ahead and blocked it myself.

I’ve never had contacts in Bristol so I got a bit wary and didn’t pick up. After looking it up on this site, it seemed pretty clear it was a scam, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number. I’m getting really sceptical of calls starting with +44 nowadays, as they’re usually from call centres overseas rather than local callers. Why hasn’t the Government stepped in to sort out these scammers? It’s about time the police, phone companies, or Ofcom started cracking down using the kind of call-blocking tech places like the US have had for ages.

This was obviously a scam, got calls from a few different numbers all claiming to be from some Utility or Insurance firm. The number kept changing, but whatever it was, it wasn’t legit.
